$200/hr. Let's dig into that. 

For example, let's say you'd like to capture most moments of your special day, from the guys and girls getting ready, mom helping with the bride's dress, a dress reveal, all the way through dinner and the first couple of dances. Typically that requires a 10-hour booking. The price for that would be $2,000 plus GST.

Maybe you're on a budget, or your wedding is non-typical, and you'd just like to capture the ceremony with a little bit before and after. If you'd like to book for 5 hours, the price would then be $1,000 plus GST. Please note that 5 hours is our minimum booking time.

Of course there is so much more that goes into the creation of your Wedding Video including prep time, battery charging, etc, plus time to drive to your Winnipeg location(s), but you're not charged for that. You're simply charged for attendance time.

The short answer is Yes, but let's make sure this topic is understood. You will be charged $200/hr for attendance time as discussed above. Most Wedding Videos require upwards of 30 hours of editing time. You will NOT be charged $200/hr for the 30 hours required to edit your video, that will be included in your initial charge.

For reference, please refer to the 'Videos' page on this site. You video will be a highlight-style type of video. The length of the video will depend mostly on the time of attendance. Booking for 5 hours will result in a shorter length video that a 10-hour booking.

Expect a video anywhere from 10 to 20 mins long.

Yes. Deposit required is 50% with the balance due at the end of your wedding day. 

Please note that other opportunities will be turned down in order to accommodate your booking. As a result your deposit is non-refundable. Please make sure you're ready to book when committing to your day with your deposit.

There are 20 Saturdays in 2025 from May long weekend to the end of September. At the time of this writing I am booked for two of those Saturdays, leaving 18 Saturdays available. I am more than happy to accept Wedding Video bookings on days other than Saturdays but traditionally weddings take place on Saturdays.

Please note that in 2024, for example, I shot 7 weddings in a 6-week time period. It is imperative to secure your booking with a deposit once you've decided to go ahead with our services. I tend to get booked up.

Traditionally, No. Let's see if we can break this down. 

Speeches can range in time from an hour to two hours. The highlight Wedding Video you're booking with us averages around 15 minutes in time. Logistically fitting 2 hours of speeches in a 15 minute video is impossible.

Recording speeches also requires an additional camera, microphone and an entirely different set of lengthy editing time.

As well, bluntly, speeches tend to be boring to watch on video. Most couples report not watching the recorded speeches all the way through even the first time, whereas their highlight video is something they enjoy watching over and over.

That being said, I would be more than happy to discuss recording every minute of your speeches if you like, but please note there will be an extra charge for this. Alternatively asking for volunteers to record speeches with their cell phones is another option.

Snippets of speeches will of course be captured from various vantage points throughout the room, included in your booking price and final video.

Yes! However, flying drones in the rain is impossible, plus high winds make it tough, so flying drones is really weather dependent. As well, a wedding that takes place mostly indoors doesn't make sense to fly a drone.

No discounts are provided if flying drones is not possible.

That being said, at Wedding Video Winnipeg we make every possible effort to include drone footage. See the 'Drone Video' page on this site for sample footage.

Most music is copyrighted and therefore can't be shared on any public site, including YouTube. The simplest way of sharing your video with friends and family is to share them a link to where you've hosted it as opposed to sending them the actual video via e-mail.

Your favourite Neil Young song might be a perfect fit, but you can't share your video on YouTube that includes a copyrighted song.

Great news is that I subscribe to Artlist that provides 100's of non-copyrighted songs that may be perfect for your video. I can make a handful of suggestions of songs, or I can share with you a link to choose from lots of choices.

Yes! Shooting both Wedding Video and Photography at the same time is, or course, impossible. Great news is that we work with many talented Wedding Photographers that can take breath-taking pictures on your special day. They would work under my supervision and direction, taking into account your hopes and dreams. 

Please note the charge for Wedding Photography is the same as video, as described above.

One main advantage of booking both Wedding Photography & Video with Wedding Video Winnipeg is that you'll have one point of contact for everything during the planning stages and throughout your special day.

Yes! For a 5-hour shoot expect a $250 discount for booking both and a $500 discount for a 10-hour booking, with a sliding scale in between. 

Breaking that down, for example, your charge for a 10-hour shoot with Wedding Video Winnipeg for both your video and photography would be $3,500 plus GST.

Sure, but of course there will be an extra charge for travel time. There will be no extra charge for travel time in and around Winnipeg. Let's discuss how far your distance is and how much I'll charge you for that.
